Tara Wind Farm supports The Gums Sports Club
August 2025
Tara Wind Farm provided The Gums Sports Club with $6,000 to fund the attendance of paramedics at the local Motorbike Gymkhana and Enduro event in June.
The event runs for two days and attracts participants and spectators from across Queensland and northern New South Wales. Fostering a family-friendly and community-focused atmosphere, the event has earned a strong reputation for being well-organised, inclusive, and fun for all ages.
“The funding was allocated to critical areas that support the safety and wellbeing of both participants and spectators - our highest priority,” Race Secretary, Carissa Hallinan said.
“With Tara Wind Farm’s support, we were able to invest in the development of our club and contribute meaningfully to our wider community”.
Tara Wind Farm has a strong commitment to the local community and, through the Community Grants and Sponsorship Program, provides funding to support community-based organisations, initiatives, and events in the Tara region.
“We were pleased to provide funding for such an important component of the weekend event as community safety aligns strongly with our Project values,” Tara Wind Farm’s Project Manager, Alexander Normoyle, said.
Tara Wind Farm is looking forward to maintaining and strengthening its partnership with the local community as the Project progresses.
