Tara Wind Farm sponsors Tara Shire State College
June 2025
Vestas’ Tara Wind Farm has granted Tara Shire State College $22,000 as a contribution towards the purchase of large fans to cool the school’s sports hall.
The hall is used for sport, classes, school events and local events so the installation of cooling will provide benefits to the students, teachers and the broader community.
College Principal, David Armstrong, received the Tara Wind Farm grant funding on behalf of the school.
“We are so grateful for the support from Tara Wind Farm,” Mr Armstrong said.
“The fans will be a very welcomed addition to our school hall and will increase its usability not just for the College but also the wider community”.
Based in Tara, Queensland, Tara Shire State College is a Prep to Grade 12 school, with more than 380 students.
The Tara Wind Farm funding program provides grants and sponsorship to support community-based organisations, initiatives, and events in the Tara region.
“We are proud to be supporting local schools, and providing cooling is something we hope will bring a direct benefit to the students,” Tara Wind Farm’s Project Manager, Alexander Normoyle, said.
Tara Wind Farm looks forward to continuing to support the Tara community through the Community Grants and Sponsorship Program.
