Tara Wind Farm supports Tara Medical Outreach

April 2026

Tara Wind Farm was proud to sponsor the Annual Tzu Chi Foundation Tara Medical Outreach clinic over the April long weekend. The funding supported accommodation costs for volunteers travelling to deliver healthcare services to Tara residents.

The clinic is run by Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Australia, a not-for-profit humanitarian organisation dedicated to serving disadvantaged communities through health, social support, and disaster relief programs. Tzu Chi volunteers first visited Tara in 2007 and now return each Easter, transforming the community hall into a temporary health centre with more than 18 treatment rooms for dental, medical, physiotherapy, podiatry, and acupuncture services.

“We are so grateful to Tara Wind Farm for the support on this mission, with the funding helping to reduce the pressure on the mobilisation of volunteers” Johnson Kao, from Tzu Chi Foundation Australia said.

“With this support, Tara Medical Outreach provided 822 appointments over the three days, delivered by our 147 volunteers”.

Tara Wind Farm is committed to supporting the local community. Through its Community Grants and Sponsorship Program, it provides funding for community‑based organisations, initiatives and events across the Tara region.

“We were pleased to sponsor such an incredible cause that provides important health services to the residents of Tara and the surrounding area,” Tara Wind Farm’s Project Manager, Alexander Normoyle, said.

“Tara Wind Farm looks forward to continuing its partnership with the local community as the Project progresses”.

The Community Grants and Sponsorship Program is open for 2026, with 10 local community initiatives supported this year already.
