Tara Wind Farm sponsors Tara Bowls Club
June 2025
Tara Wind Farm provided Tara Bowls Club with $2,000 in funding to support the Tara Open Fours Carnival in April 2025.
The bowling competition is a community-run event very popular amongst bowlers from the local community and Southern Queensland. The Bowls Club prides itself on providing great hospitality across the weekend.
Tara Wind Farm is committed to the Tara community and provides grants and sponsorship to support local community-based organisations, initiatives, and events in the Tara region. The Bowls Club Secretary, Matthew Prain, applied for the funding on behalf of its committee.
“Funding from Tara Wind Farm helped to offset the meals for the event and made it more cost effective for players to attend,” Secretary, Matthew Prain, said.
“The event sees more than 65 people visit the town and wouldn’t be possible without our valued sponsors.”
The weekend was a great success, bringing people from the local area and across the southern part of the state.
“We are proud to sponsor the Tara Bowls Club event, which brings the community and wider region together for a great weekend,” Tara Wind Farm’s Project Manager, Alexander Normoyle, said.
“As part of our commitment to the Tara community, we are delighted to support community events and organisations, such as this one, that have a meaningful impact at a local level.”
Tara Wind Farm is looking forward to maintaining and strengthening its partnership with the local community as the Project progresses.
