Tara Wind Farm has proudly supported the Tara Bowls Club’s Open Fours Carnival for the second year running. The event is held every year and attracts lawn bowlers from across southern Queensland.

The 2026 event brought together 16 teams and visitors for friendly competition, social activities and community connection. Alongside the bowling, a Calcutta, raffles and community meals helped create a vibrant atmosphere for the whole community.

“The carnival prides itself on being inclusive, welcoming male, female and mixed teams, as well as junior bowlers, to take part in the competition,” Club Secretary, Matthew Prain, said.

“Tara Bowls Club is very grateful for Tara Wind Farm’s support. The funding helps cover catering costs, allowing us to keep expenses down and make the event more affordable for competitors.”

Tara Bowls Club is a volunteer-run community organisation that brings together residents from the town and surrounding districts. The club also serves as an important community hub, providing a venue for local events, gatherings and fundraising activities.

“Supporting local organisations that strengthen community connections is an important part of our commitment to the region,” Tara Wind Farm, Project Director, Michael Perkins, said.

“We look forward to building on our relationship with Tara Bowls Club and other community organisations as the Project moves forward, supporting valuable local initiatives through our Community Grants and Sponsorship Program.”
