Tara Wind Farm supports Tara and District Junior Rugby League
May 2026
For the second year running, Tara Wind Farm is proud to continue its sponsorship of the Tara and District Junior Rugby League club, with funding towards the Tara Panthers 2026 season training shirts.
The club is part of the wider Western Downs Junior Rugby League Association and provides children from Tara, Moonie, Westmar, Flinton, Teelba, Glenmorgan, Meandarra, Hannaford, The Gums and Kogan the opportunity to play rugby league.
The training shirts are supplied by the club to prevent school uniforms from being damaged during training. The club contributes to costs, including helping fund team shirts, to keep player registration fees as low as possible for families.
"The funding has helped ensure all players wear the same training gear, which also contributes to strengthening the club’s culture.” Matthew Prain, Tara and District Junior Rugby League Club President, said.
“Tara Wind Farm’s contribution is greatly appreciated, and both the players and the committee value the continued local support of our club.”
Tara Wind Farm’s Community Grants and Sponsorship Program provides funding for community‑based organisations, initiatives and events across the Tara region.
“We are pleased to continue our support of the Tara Panthers for a second year and see the value that the club and committee members deliver to Tara and the broader region,” Tara Wind Farm’s Project Manager, Alexander Normoyle, said.
“Tara Wind Farm looks forward to continuing to work alongside the local community as the Project progresses.”
The Community Grants and Sponsorship Program is open for 2026, with 10 local community initiatives already supported this year.
