We enjoyed visiting Tara in early July for our second community information drop-in session.

More than 40 people stopped by our stall at Tara’s ‘Markets at the Museum’, mostly locals who live close to the proposed Project site, about 6km south of Tara township. It was great to meet you, share Project updates and hear your thoughts.

The most common questions were about the exact location of the proposed wind farm and where we are in the planning and development process.

Many of you are looking forward to the job opportunities the Project would bring. We were also encouraged to hear support for renewable energy, with comments noting the benefits of using natural resources and seeing renewable energy as the future.

Our large transport route board showed that construction traffic is not planned to pass through Tara township, which many of you were pleased to hear.

We were also happy to hear how local organisations are benefiting from our Community Grants and Sponsorships Program. Over the past eight months, we’ve supported more than 12 local organisations, schools, sports and other clubs with more than $70,000 in funding. Our next funding round will open in January 2026.
