Tara Wind Farm team at the 2026 Tara Show
March 2025
The Tara Wind Farm team had a fantastic day at the Tara Show on 7 March 2026, hosting a community information stall and speaking with local residents about the Project’s progress.
Across the day, more than 50 people came by to chat with the team. There was strong interest in local job opportunities and questions about when construction might begin. People were also interested in the transport route during construction, and the community benefits.
We were also pleased to see the Mayor of Western Downs Regional Council, Councillor Andrew Smith, who stopped in for a conversation. We discussed the progress of our Planning Application with the Mayor - we expect to submit the application later this year and appreciated the opportunity to discuss next steps with him.
This community information stall was our fifth in Tara, and it was great to reconnect with some familiar faces. We also caught up with representatives of the Tara and District Panthers Junior Rugby League Club and Tara Shire State College, both of which we proudly support through our Community Grants and Sponsorship program.
It was encouraging to hear the strong local support for the Project. We look forward to continuing our conversations with the community as the Project progresses, and thank everyone who took the time to stop by and say hello.
If you would like copies of the materials we had available at the Show, our fact sheet and latest newsletter are available on our website.
Community information sessions are an important way we stay connected with the Tara community. However, you don’t need to wait until our next visit to reach out. If you have any questions, you can email us at info@tarawindfarm.com.au or call us on 1800 717 704.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
